Whether you’re frying it alongside a couple eggs or putting some on a cheeseburger, this hardwood smoked bacon is perfect for a variety of uses.<br /><br /><b>Directions</b><br /><br />Bacon needs to be fully cooked.<br /><br />Skillet<br /><br />Place bacon slices in single layer in unheated skillet. Cook over LOW to MEDIUM heat, turning occasionally, until brown and crisp. Drain on paper towels.<br /><br />Microwave<br /><br />Directions were developed for 1000 watt and higher microwave ovens. Cooking in microwave ovens below 1000 watts will require additional time to reach proper temperature.<br /><br />Place bacon slices between paper towels on paper plate or microwave-safe dish. Cook on HIGH; 2 slices for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes; 4 slices for 3 to 3 1/2 minutes, until brown and crisp.<br /><br />Oven<br /><br />Place bacon in single layer in shallow baking pan. Bake at 400F for 10 to 15 minutes until brown and crisp. No turning is necessary. Drain on paper towels.<br /><br />For food safety, cook to an internal temperature of 165F as measured with a food thermometer. Appliances may vary; adjust cooking times accordingly. Refrigerate or discard leftovers immediately.
